Globetom today announced its newly formed golf booking subsidiary company, GolfTimeSA, has received a significant boost with the joining of a prominent personality from the South African golf environment as shareholder and director.

Dave Usendorff has taken up a significant share in GolfTimeSA and will act as national marketing director for GolfTimeSA. Usendorff is a well-known and respected PGA Professional and has been involved in the establishment and growth of several golf-related businesses.

“Dave brings unique industry experience to the GolfTimeSA operation that will ensure the positioning of GolfTimeSA as a national player in the provision of online golf bookings and club administration solutions,” says Norman Kok, Managing Director of GolfTimeSA.

“Dave will be responsible to promote the GolfTimeSA system at a national level and to influence the GolfTimeSA technology offering with strategic partnerships and alliances with industry players that will complement our service offering,” says Kok.

According to Stander, the market reaction from clubs that have signed up with GolfTimeSA has been overwhelming. Golfer take-on also exceeds all expectations and the GolfTimeSA Web site already receives well over 17 000 page impressions per month.

GolfTimeSA presently administers golf bookings at eight South African golf clubs and negotiations with several other clubs are in progress. Usendorff says GolfTimeSA already facilitates well over 20% of total bookings received as online bookings on specific days at clubs where the system is in use for longer than three months. He further added that GolfTimeSA is experiencing exponential growth in both golfer registration and online bookings. Globetom remains quietly confident about its GolfTimeSA technology offering, ability to deliver a superior booking administration solution to golf clubs and golfers as well as its market penetration potential.
